How to Make a Logo With an AI Logo Generator
A plain-English guide to making a logo with an AI logo generator, from what to type and which style to pick to judging the results and getting the right files.
What an AI logo generator is good at
An AI logo generator draws a new logo from a short description of your brand. You aren't picking from a catalog: the design is made for you, with your exact name in it, in the style you choose. Run the same brief twice and you'll get two different logos.
That variety is its strength. You get original options in seconds, including directions you'd never have sketched yourself. The weakness is that it can't guess what you mean, so a vague brief gets vague results. And when a logo has to fit an existing system, say a new product line that must sit beside the parent brand, a human designer is still the better bet.
Writing a brief for an AI logo generator
Four fields in our AI logo generator matter most, and each one steers the result in its own way.
The name comes first. Type it the way it should appear on your sign, capitals and all. We also spell it out for the model, one letter at a time, which helps with unusual names. Read every letter of the result yourself anyway.
Then say what the logo should show. One concrete thing beats a row of adjectives. "A hedgehog holding a coffee cup" gives the AI something to draw, while "modern and professional" describes nearly every logo ever made. Leave the field empty and the AI works from your name and industry instead.
The style changes the result more than anything else you pick. There are 14, from Minimalist and Signature to Mascot, Watercolor, Neon and Pixel, and most of them can be drawn flat or with 3D depth. The picker shows a real example of each, which saves a lot of guessing.
Colors come last. Pick a theme or a palette, or add your own brand colors, up to three. Black and white is worth a round at some point, because it shows whether the idea holds up without color doing the work.
From preview to files
Your first AI design costs nothing once you've signed up with your email or Google. It arrives as a watermarked preview, so take your time with it: switch its preview background between white, dark and your brand color, and look at it small. You only pay when you download. A PNG carries 3D, glow and texture best on screens. An SVG is a vector for print and signs, and it opens in our editor when you want to change something later. You can also take both from one design. If you want more rounds, a pack covers them; see our plans. Replacing an old logo? Put it through our free logo checker first, to see what the new one has to do better.
