AI logo maker guides

How an AI logo maker turns a brand name and a few words into finished designs, how to write a brief that gets better results, and how to edit the logo afterwards.

Make a logo with AI

AI logo maker articles

An AI logo maker like ours doesn't search a library of existing logos. It turns your brief into a detailed written instruction, and an image model draws a brand-new picture from it.

In DepthLogo, each choice you make becomes a line of that instruction: your name, your industry, what the symbol should show, the style's look, the lettering, your colors, flat or 3D, and the shape of the canvas. Your own words always go in quotes, so the model treats them as things to draw and spell rather than as instructions. A few details explain results that might otherwise surprise you:

  • The canvas shape sets the layout. A wide ratio puts the symbol beside the name, a tall one stacks it on top, and a square keeps everything centered.
  • With no description, the symbol comes from your industry and name. With nothing but a name, the AI looks inside it: what it means, how it sounds, or its initials.
  • Signature and Retro 3D are lettering styles. Unless you describe a symbol, the name is the logo.
  • Most styles come out on a transparent background, and we clean up stray haze and specks before you see the result. Neon, Watercolor and 3D Ice are drawn on a background of their own, since glow, paint and ice need something behind them.

Editing what the AI logo maker made

Every AI design can become two kinds of file. The PNG is the artwork itself, finished as it is. The SVG is traced from that artwork into vector shapes, which stay sharp at any size, and that's the version you can edit. Once you've bought it, it opens in the same editor as our logo templates, split into parts such as the symbol, the name and the slogan. You can recolor a part, move it, resize it or delete it, set a background, and download it again without paying more.

One limit is worth knowing up front. The lettering is traced into shapes too, so you can't retype the name in the editor. Fixing a letter or changing the name means a new design.

Edit it or generate again?

Editing is good for color and position: matching your brand blue, nudging the slogan closer, deleting a stray star or sparkle that clutters the logo when it's small. It's the wrong tool for changing the idea. If the symbol is wrong, rewrite the description and generate again. If the whole feel is off, try another style. When a design is close but not quite there, More like this makes one more in the same style and colors.

You can try all of this in our AI logo maker. For help with the brief, read how to make a logo with AI, and if you're torn between depth and a flat design, 3D logo vs flat logo compares the two. The AI logo generator guides have more on briefs.
